Minimum Acceptable Employment Requirements

• Knowledge of the City of Flint and Genesee County area is preferred.
• Applicants must possess a valid Michigan Chauffeurs license with a clean driving record.
• Applicants must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen, criminal and reference checks.
• At least 5 years driving experience
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; use hands and fingers to feel objects; reach with arms and hands; stoop, kneel and crouch; walk, climb or balance; and have vision corrected to 20/20
• Ability to attend work regularly and work under stressful conditions.

Substitute Compensation (all new hires)

Substitute employees enjoy a flexible schedule and are not guaranteed a fixed, defined working schedule.

$8.00 per hour

No benefits

Part Time Compensation

$8.25 with no benefits

Full Time Compensation

Option 1 - $8.25 per hour + benefits

Option 2 - $8.25 per hour + up to $1.50 per hour in lieu of benefits

An additional premium of $1.75 per hour will be paid for hours worked in a Trip Coordinator assignment. Also, an additional premium of $2.75 will be paid to service providers that are assigned to drive a large bus (30 or more passengers).
