MTA ON THE MOVE NEWS!
- Fourth of July bus schedule
- Street closures
On Monday, July 6, 2009 at 7:00 am, Van Slyke between 12th Street and Atherton Road will be closed for track repair until Friday, July 17, 2009 at 5:00 pm. On Monday July 13, 2009 at 7:00 am, Averill Ave between Robert T. Longway and Davison Road will be closed due to track repair until Friday, July 17, 2009 at 5:00 pm.
This could have an effect on the buses in these areas for this time period.
- Partial street closings, Saturday, July 11, 2009 from 6:30 am to 12:00 pm.
First Street from Saginaw to SB Chavez; Harrison Street from 2nd Street to Kearsley; Stevens Street from 2nd Street to First Street will have partial lane closures. Lane closures will have an influence on these streets, 2nd Street, Kearsley, Crapo, Court and other streets in the Court Street Area. This will have a effect on the bus schedules in these areas.
- Franklin Route is being extended to Bluebell Beach
The Mass Transportation Authority is extending the Franklin Route on selected runs to include Bluebell Beach. Service begins June 29, 2009 and will operate seven days a week, excluding July 4, 2009, and will end September 6, 2009. The buses will depart from the Flint Downtown Transportation Center. Appropriate dress and foot attire is required. Please click here for the current schedule (updated June 30, 2009). This extended service is being provided for Genesee County residents for their local enjoyment.

SERVICE TO GISD TRANSITION CENTER
Beginning Monday, June 8, 2009, service to the
Genesee Intermediate Transition Center will be provided on the Miller/Linden Route. Buses that depart from the Meijer store on Linden Road (southbound) headed to Genesee Valley will drive through the Genesee Intermediate Transition Center
located in the Furniture Row plaza between 10 a.m. to 6p.m. Monday through Friday.
Individuals that need transportation from Genesee Valley to the Transition Center will be transported utilizing the MTA Your Ride Swartz Creek vehicle.
The vehicle will pick up passengers at the MTA bus shelter at the Valley.

Effective Monday, June 8, 2009, service on Regional Routes #310 and #311 to Avon Plastics, Dura-Automotive and Superior Plastics will be discontinued. If you have any questions, please call the MTA Customer Service Department at (810) 767-0100.

- Lapeer Rd - Meijer
The extra bus stop that was added at the Center Road Meijer store has been removed.
The bus stop located at the far North end of the store(with the bus shelter) will remain where it is located. This will be the only bus stop at Meijer. Passengers are being asked to catch the bus at this location.
