What is Genesee Connect?
Technology enabled, on-demand ride sharing transportation that complements MTA ‘s primary route system and allows travel within the zone that you are in.
How does the on-demand service work?
Use the MTA SmartMove app or call when you would like to book a ride in the service area.
What area does it serve?
Hill Rd. Corridor (See map)
How much does the service cost?
$2.50 up to 4 miles, then 40¢/mile.
What are the service hours?
Monday–Saturday: 6 AM – 9 PM Sunday: 7 AM – 7 PM
How quickly can service be provided?
Within 15 minutes.
What happens if there isn't a ride available?
If a ride is unavailable, an error message will appear and you will be encouraged to try again in a few minutes.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit/debit card in the app or cash which can be added to your account through customer service at the MTA Northup-Abrams Transportation Center.
Where will pick up/drop off areas be?
The service is curb-to-curb, which means you will be picked up and dropped off curbside.
What information do I need to provide in the app?
When creating an account in the app, you will need to provide a name and phone number or email.
Will I receive updates or notifications?
Yes, if enabled on your device.

Are the vehicles handicap accessible?
Yes, the vehicles are accommodating to wheelchairs and other mobility devices.
Is there a rider limit per booking?
You are allowed up to 3 additional riders, or 2 wheelchair riders.
Who is able to use this service?
Anyone who downloads the app or calls in can ride.
How can I leave feedback?
After completing a ride, you will be prompted to optionally give a rating from 1 to 5 stars, with the ability to leave feedback.
Do any of the Primary Routes connect to the Hill Road Corridor service area?
Yes, Primary Routes #8 and #11 connect to the service area.
Can I use Go Pass to pay for Genesee Connect?
Go Pass is for MTA ‘s Fixed Route service and not for Genesee Connect. Payment methods for Genesee Connect include credit/debit card in the app or cash which can be added to your account through customer service at the MTA Northup-Abrams Transportation Center.
