Service Bulletin, Primary Route Changes and Free Rides (Free Rides 11/17 & 11/18)
(Changes Effective November 17, 2025)

To increase efficiency, safety, and service for our riders, several MTA Primary Routes will be changing effective November 17. The changes will provide better service for passengers with smoother connections and more options of places to go and access to essential needs such as groceries and medical appointments.

WHAT ARE THE CHANGES?

Route 3 – Miller/Linden Service Change: Route 3 will be split into two separate routes which will remove the Linden and Pierson Road segment of this route. The new Route 3 will begin downtown and end at Sam’s Club on Corunna Road. The route will only travel into the Genesee Valley Mall outbound and two (2) new stops will be added southbound along Linden Road.

Route 3A – Linden/Pierson New Service: The segment of Linden and Pierson Road from Route 3 will create a 30-minute inbound and outbound service route from Aldi’s to Sam’s Club.

Route 4/5 – Service Change: The route will travel from downtown out Route 4 and return on Route 5. This is an operational change to improve efficiency. This will only run 6:30 PM to Close, Monday through Saturday and on Sunday, 9:00 AM to Close.

Route 7/6 – Service Change: The route will travel from downtown out Route 7 and return on Route 6. This is an operational change to improve efficiency. This will only run 6:30 PM to Close, Monday through Saturday and on Sunday, 9:00 AM to Close.

Route 8 – South Saginaw Service Change: During the daytime, an additional bus will be added, totaling 3 buses. One bus will operate in the evening and on weekends as it is today. The route will be simplified and will no longer pull into the Grand Mall. Additionally, the Walmart stop will be relocated next to Sam’s Club due to semi congestion in the back of the building where the buses need to travel.

Route 11 – Bristol/Fenton Service Change (Outbound): Bus will no longer enter the South Flint Plaza and will remain on Fenton Road. A new end of the line will be established at Kings Lane Apartments on Hemphill Road, east of Fenton Road. An additional stop will be added in front of the plaza near Hemphill Road so passengers can still access the plaza. This is an operational change to improve safety.

Route 13 – Service Change: Service will travel down Pierson Road to Linden Road, down to Pasadena Avenue to Clio Road, north back to Pierson Road to Dort Highway, continue to Davison Road and then travel to Belsay Road to the Walmart on Court Street and on to the Meijer on Center Road.
