The Mass Transportation Authority (MTA) is concerned about the safety of our employees and the riding public Therefore, many immediate steps have been taken throughout our facilities and with our vehicles, as follows:

  1. Extensive cleaning processes have been implemented to ensure that all surfaces in our facilities and vehicles happen daily and throughout operating hours
  2. In order to clean vehicles during the operating day, many employees have been added to the custodian crew. This enables vehicles to be cleaned as they come through the Downtown Transportation Center, every 30 minutes
  3. Extra buses are being added to high frequency commuter routes to reduce load factors
  4. Hand cleaning products will be provided to the passengers, as supplies remain plentiful
  5. Continuous communication is taking place with our employees to ensure that they use every opportunity to wash their hands, stay home if they are feeling sick, and report any issues that arise

In closing, the MTA is committed to providing the safest transportation possible. We thank our employees, passengers, and the general public for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.
